had this week off of school so went traveling around the gold coast... went to byron bay, coolangatta, and surfers paradise... relaxed at the beach, did some surfing, and met some interesting people in the hostels

my family was here to visit last week... showed them around the city and school and had a really good time.

then went to tasmania with my friends hilly and julio. had an amazing weekend driving all around the island and seeing the mountains, beaches, lakes, and waterfalls.

sunday was really amazing but i didnt have my camera...
we woke up early and drove across the island to this national park. we hiked through the forest, and it was drizzling but the trees were tall enough to keep us dry. we saw wallabies munch on leaves and peer at us curiously before hopping away. at the end of the hike was a waterfall from the top of the mountain, that had multiples levels as it fell down to the river. after heading back to the car, we drove to a lake in another part of the park. it had gotten colder and we were higher up, and it started to hail while we drove on the bumpy mud road. at the lake, it was snowing lightly, and we did not dress for the weather. we took the path around the lake, and hurried back to the car after taking in the scenery.

it was a really cool trip. and i have break this weekend but still havent decided where to go! but im sure it will be interesting
